Support for the whole journey

Relaxed, knowledgeable, confident and grounded. I could look to her for reassurance and hear her gentle but firm cues when I got caught up in the peaks. I ended up having the most beautiful VBAC.

Questions

A few of the things families ask

What does a birth doula do?

A birth doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after labor. Jenn helps you build a birth plan, teaches comfort and positioning techniques, offers steady counter pressure and reassurance through labor, and stays with you until you and your baby are settled. She does not perform any medical tasks; she complements your medical team.

When should I hire a doula?

Most families connect with Jenn in their second or early third trimester, which leaves time for prenatal visits and building a birth plan together. That said, Jenn has stepped in much later, and even close to a due date. If you are pregnant and want support, it is worth reaching out.

Do you replace my doctor or midwife?

No. Jenn works alongside your OB, midwife, and nurses. Your medical team manages the clinical side of your birth; Jenn provides the continuous personal support, comfort, and advocacy that medical staff often cannot stay in the room to give.

Do you support VBAC births?

Yes. VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) support is one of Jenn's most requested services. Many families come to her specifically to feel informed and confident going into a VBAC after a difficult first delivery. She has walked many mothers through beautiful VBAC births.
